BRENDA MARQUETTA BOYER, age 73, formerly of East Prairie, died January 6, 2020, at her home in Sikeston.

Born August 18, 1946, in Phoenix, AZ, to the late Johnny Anderson Nipp and Ruby Estelle Perdue Nipp, she was raised in Phoenix and moved to East Prairie in 1989, recently moving to Sikeston to be near her daughter.

On January 5, 1963, she married Curtis I. Boyer, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2006.

Surviving are her son, William Boyer of St. Johns, AZ; her daughters, Tracy Boyer of St. Johns, AZ and Melody (Tim) Gardner of Sikeston; her sister, Jacquelyn Chavez of St. Johns, AZ; her grandchildren, Curtis Logan Gardner, Mallory Lee Gardner, Dillion Graf and Lukus Graff; also, one great grandson.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Nipp.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Mike Cartwright and Chaplain Tim Gardner, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
