Brenda Louise Oliver Hodges, 79, of Sikeston, died Friday, June 11, 2021, at Delta South Nursing in Sikeston.

She was born December 22, 1941, at Sikeston, to the late Eugene C. Oliver and Ruby L. Crawford Oliver and was a graduate of Sikeston High School.    Brenda retired from Sikeston Public Schools as a teacher's aide after many years of service.  She was a devoted wife, mother and "Gaga".

On December 18, 1964, at the Eastside Church of the Nazarene, she married Lonnie E. Hodges, who she has now joined in heaven.

Surviving are is her son, Matthew (Joanne) Hodges of Sikeston; her daughter, Julie Hodges of Sikeston; her brothers, Tommy (Beverly) Oliver and Gerald (Lee) Oliver and her sister, Sherry (Ronnie) Lambert, all of Sikeston; her grandsons, Chase M. Hodges of Sikeston and Carter Rettig of Springfield, MO; also, a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Pastor Melissa McDowell, of the Eastside Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Hodges, Chase Hodges, Carter Rettig, Austin Henson, Tanner Henson and Andrew Oliver.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Michael Oliver, Derek McKown and Scott Peters.
