Brenda Mae Laster Mayabb Baker was welcomed into heaven Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born in Mississippi County on October 12, 1958 to the late Curtis Edward Laster and Yvonne Nolen Laster of Wyatt, MO.

Brenda was of the Baptist faith, growing up she attended church with her Grandma Annette at Wyatt Baptist Church. Later in life she became a faithful member of and worshipped at Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she found her church family.

Brenda married Hubert "Butch" Baker on March 17, 1991 in Bertrand. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her sisters. She loved to bake, a good card game with friends, being a mother & grandmother and worshipping the Lord.

Her daughters will remember fondly how beautiful she was. Brenda always made an impression when she entered a room. Her big smile & loud laugh will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

She leaves behind many cherished friends and loved ones. Especially the ones that devoted so much care and love to her in the last few years.

Brenda is survived by two daughters, Amanda & Chase White and Madilynn & Tyler Pigg of Sikeston. Her seven grandchildren: Hunter McCurter, Tyler McCurter, Austyn Hall, Rhylyn Cross, Harper White, Charlie Pigg and Colin Pigg and her two great-grandchildren: Hunter McCurter Jr. & Colson McCurter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is proceeded in death by her daughter, Heather Mayabb McCurter, her son, Hugh Baker and her sisters, Janice, Candrice & Paula. All of whom she has missed so much.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, MO

Pallbearers will be: Terry Parker, Terry McCurter, Chase White, Tyler Pigg, Hunter McCurter and Tyler McCurter.
