Brenda Kay (Heath) Morris was born to Noah and Margaret (Hurley) Heath on July 27th, 1941, in the Dogwood community. She passed away on January 13th, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Brenda grew up on her family's farm in Dogwood surrounded by a large extended family. She was an elementary student in Dogwood School and was graduated from East Prairie High School.
Brenda married Bruce Lindgren on February 4th, 1961 in St. Louis, MO. They then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Salt Lake, Utah, and to San Francisco California. She later married the love of her life John Morris where they settled in St. Louis until his untimely death. Brenda then moved to Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she stayed for the majority of her life. Brenda loved looking each morning at the sunrise over the ocean.
Brenda loved all things beauty, fashion, and pop culture. She was someone who enjoyed dressing up and having a good time. She enjoyed her career as a make-up artist and loved enhancing the beauty around her. Brenda is remembered as someone who cared deeply for her family and who loved to share stories about them and her life. She is someone who valued legacy and is leaving behind a special one.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, John Morris, her infant sister, Martha Faye Heath, her sister Marjorie Arington, her brother Kenneth Ray Heath, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Lindgren.
Survivors include her daughter Dana Ray and her husband Kelly of Cape Girardeau, her son Scott Lindgren and his wife Susan of Fort Worth, Texas. Her grandchildren who kindly knew her as "Mimi" are Zach and Noah Ray of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Eric Lindgren and his wife Peyton of Corpus Christi, Texas, Emma (Lindgren) Draper and her husband Jon of Keller, Texas and her great-grandchild Madelyn Mae Draper.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 26,2022 in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston. Her granddaughter, Emma Lindgren Draper, and Chandler Landis, pastor of the Dogwood Methodist Church, will officiate.
