BRUCE GORDON PURDIE, Age 62, a resident of Bertrand, died Friday, April 26, 2019, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 3, 1957, at Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Thomas Purdie and Elizabeth Chism Purdie, he had lived in Pittsburgh most of his life where he was employed with Allegheny Plastics. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Bertrand, MO to be near her family. He was a member of the Bertrand United Methodist Church.

On August 19, 1994, he married Sharla Jean Rhew Dickerson, who survives of the home in Bertrand.

Also surviving is one son, Christopher Purdie of Sikeston; two daughters, Rebecca (Steve) Workinger and Melissa (Dave) Mrazek both of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Alex and Tyler Workinger; one brother, Neil (Nancy) Purdie of Butler, PA. Also, one niece and one nephew.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Laura Jean Folmer.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019, at McMikle Funeral Home. Rev. Lois McRill, pastor of the Bertrand United Methodist Church, will officiate

Interment will be private.
