Obituary
CARL EDWARD McLAIN, Age 84, died at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his home in East Prairie.
He was born November 10, 1927, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Floyd Edward and Annie Powers McLain. A retired veteran of the United States Army, he served over 20 years and during that time he was stationed in Germany, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and the Pentagon. He returned to East Prairie in 2010 where he was a member of the First General Baptist Church.
On August 4, 1956, he married Mary Frame, who survives of the home in East Prairie.
Also surviving are: one brother, James Gerald McLain of East Prairie; Three sisters, Rose Ann Moore of East Prairie; Janet Sazlar of Springdale, AR and Pat Delfin of Branson, MO; also a number of nephews and nieces.
One brother, Paul David McLain preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Raymond Hannah, pastor of the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie, will officiate.
Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military rights provided by the United States Army and the Missouri Military Honors Program.
