Carl Wayne Napier, age 88, of Sikeston, MO, died Saturday, January 3, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born April 17, 1937, at Portageville, MO, to the late Mack Napier and Mary Magdalene Porter Napier, he had lived in Sikeston most of his life where he was employed as a driver with ABF for many years in both Springfield, IL and the Sikeston, MO locations. In the early 1960's he assumed ownership of the Mills Shell Service Center located on South Kingshighway in Sikeston and operated as the owner and manager of Up-Town Shell Service Center.
On February 26, 1955, he married Elameda Wade, who preceded him in death February 13, 2003.
Survivors include his grandchildren, David Wayne Patton, Kristi (Gary) Graham, Nathan (Courtney) Turner and Carla (Justin) McLemore, his great grandchildren, Trenton, Gavin, Hayden and Samuel, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Debra Sue Patton and Pamela Diane Turner, his brothers, Richard Napier and Albert Allen Napier and his sister, Sarah Carol Thornton.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. His son in law, Gary Graham, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
