Carol Ann Brown Heflin, age 79, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

Born July 24, 1945, in Stoddard County, MO, to the late Wilmur Brown and Viona Wilburn Brown, she was raised in Dexter and lived in that area most of her life.   As a pastor's wife for many years, she was known to be a Christian kindhearted, woman.  A loving and caring mother and grandmother, she also shared that love with many other families as she baby sat their children and would help with house cleaning.

She was married to Brother Joseph Heflin for over 30 years and he survives.

Also surviving are her son, Tim Heflin and her daughter, Rebekah Yamnitz, all of Fruitland, MO; 10 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jeffery, Rachel Dawn, Timothy, Bradley, Clayton, Ashley, Andrew, Elizabeth and Rachel Sinn, and 17 great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Laxton; Her great granddaughter, Lilly Ozment; her brothers, Delbert Brown, Gary Brown, infant Michael Keith Brown and Michael A. Brown and her sisters, Sandy Brown, Janice Rushins, Patricia Watson and Debbie Jaynes.

Private family services will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Fruitland, Missouri.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
