CAROL SUZANNE BOWMAN GENTRY , age 59, a resident of Bertrand, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO

Born February 5, 1952, at Cairo, IL, to the late Haskell and Blanche Krauss Bowman, she was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County. She worked for G & D Communications for 11 years until opening the Re-Store in Bertrand where she was the owner and operator until her retirement. She was a active member of Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand, Missouri.

On July 21st, 1989 she married Mike Gentry, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: two daughters and sons in law, Ami and Derek Housman of Bertrand, MO., Lisa Hodges and Adam Russell of Sikeston, MO., and one son and his fiance, Steven Hodges and Allie Melrose of Sikeston, MO; one brother and sister in law, Ken and Kay Bowman of Bertrand, MO. She was also a beloved Grandmother to 9 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 18th, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 at the Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand, MO. Larry Kirby, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction McMikle Funeral Home

Pallbearers will be: Paul Brown, Keith Coots, Pete Wells, Art Robinson, Rusty Carroll and Robert Payne.
