Carol M. Haifley

Carol Madrue Haifley, age 73, of Benton, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.

Born February 3, 1953, at Muncie, IN, to the late James Henry Brandenburg and Karen Christine Pflueger Brandenburg, she grew up in Hamilton, IN and went on to receive her nursing degree. She practiced as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 30 years until her retirement. She had lived in Indiana and later Texas before settling in Malden, MO where she was a member of the Stokeland Drive Christian Church. In 2020, she moved to Benton, MO.

Survivors include her sons, Jason (Leah) Springer and Ronnie (Crystal) Mann; her stepchildren, Shannon Haifley and Daniel Haifley; her sister, Karen; her grandchildren, James, Tara, Dalton, Darian, Makayla and Ryan; also, two great grandchildren and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Caleb Haifley; her grandson, Cody and her sister, Shirley.

The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
