Carol L. "Smith" Vielhak, 74, formerly of Eureka, IL, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Westfield Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  She was born November 19, 1943 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late James Douglas and Flossie Lucille (Gestring) White.  She had sold advertising for the Woodford County Journal in Eureka before moving to Sikeston about 13 years ago.  On Jan. 27, 1995 she was married to Larry Lee Vielhak at Bloomington, Illinois and he preceded her in death June 4, 2002.  She is survived by 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Teresa Sneed of Sikeston and Lynn & Tom Krumholz of Eureka, IL; one sister, Joyce Anne Gilmore of Snow Hill, Maryland; 4 grandchildren, Danielle Litwiller and Christian Keefer of Sikeston, Ellen Krumholz of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Jane Krumholz of Chicago; and by 3 great-grandchildren, Stephon, Ashlyn and Piper all of Sikeston.   One brother, James D.
