Carrie Louise Holman, age 95, of Charleston, formerly of St. Louis, died Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Charleston Manor Nursing Home in Charleston, MO, where she had resided the last few years.

Carrie was born September 24, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, and was then ninth of 16 children of the late Herman Joseph Hodapp and Estelle Cecil Wenzel Hodapp. Carrie outlived them all!

She was a devoted wife to the late Joseph Holman Sr.

She was devoted mother to her son, Joseph (Michelle) Holman Jr.; devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren, Jo (Dustin) Beck, Virginia Holman, and Carrie (Mike) Patrick, five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.  Also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.

Carrie dedicated her life to helping others both professionally and personally. She was hardworking, loving, compassionate, generous, and kindhearted.

Carrie is now reunited in heaven dancing the polka with her beloved husband.

Private family services will be held.   Carrie made an anatomical gift her of her body to St. Louis University in St. Louis.
