Obituary
CECELIE ELLIOTT PIKE, age 46, a resident of Jackson died at 4:16 a.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born August 1, 1965 in Sikeston to Faye Powell Elliott who survives of Charleston and the late George Robert Elliott. She was a 1983 graduate of Charleston High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. A member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, she volunteered her service in many capacities. She had served as a school board member for St. Henry School where she coached St. Henry Trojan Basketball Team, and when she wasn't coaching she was keeping score and statistics. Cecelie was very family oriented, participating however she could in her children's activities, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
On October 14, 1988 she married Richard "Ricky" Pike Jr. who survives of Jackson.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Christina Nicole Pike of Jackson; two sons, Elijah Franklin "Eli" Pike and Christopher Scott Pike (Staci) all of Jackson; one sister, Kathy Elliott Slaten of Charleston; one niece, Maren Slaten of Charleston; two grandchildren, Corie and Riley Pike both of Jackson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard "Dick" and Mary Pike of Charleston; and two sisters-in-law, Debbie Robertson and Sherrie Heppe both of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Robert Elliott on February 4, 1986, her paternal grandparents, Frank and Delphia Elliott, and maternal grandparents, Jack Powell and Roberta (Bobbie) Powell.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father Glenn Eftink, pastor, will serve as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
