Charity Sue Carey Evans

Charity Sue Evans, age 51, died Monday, May 27, 2024, at her home in Morehouse.

She was born May 18, 1973, at St. Louis, MO, to Janet Sue Johnson, who survives of Sikeston and the late Robert Ellis "Bob" Grissom.  She had lived in Scott County most of her life, recently moving to Morehouse.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Cameron Skyler Carey and his wife, Elizabeth Berdean Carey (Nauert); her fiancé, Alex Steven Sauceda; her dear little dogs, Ely and Booger; her granddogs, Bubby J. and Scooby; two half-sisters, Shirlene Grissom and Cassandra Hutcheson, and a number of cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert David Grissom and Frederick Heath Grissom.

Private services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
