Obituary
ELSIE CHARLENE MITCHELL, Age 70, formerly of Charleston, MO, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at her home in Kaufman, Texas.
Born October 6, 1941, in Henderson County, Kentucky, to the late Charlie Benjamin and Mammie Azilee Cannon Fears, and was employed at the Brown Shoe Company in Charleston a number of years. She then moved to Kaufman, Texas where she was employed at the Country Inn Motel for several years until her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Kaufman.
On January 1, 2003, she married Greg Mitchell, who survives of the home in Kaufman.
Also surviving are: one stepdaughter, Katie Wampler of Surry, TX; four sisters, Gwen Webb (Don Cummins) of Bertrand; Renae (Frank) Cohen of Matthews; Debbie (Jeff) Moreland of Rodgers, AR and Tyanne Wagner of Kaufman, TX.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Ben Mitchell; two brothers, Harry Barnes and Buddy Fears and by one sister, Bonnie Fears.
Graveside services will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
