CHARLES ARTHUR GRISSOM, Age 65, a resident of Charleston, died Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Born June 7, 1952, at East Prairie, MO, to Frankie Adkisson Grissom who survives of East Prairie, and the late Charles "Gunner" Grissom, he attended East Prairie Schools and had lived in Mississippi County his entire life. He was employed with Noranda a number of years and later did commercial trucking and worked for Burke Farms.
On April 4, 1995, he married LaDonna Ruth Marshall, and she survives of the home.
Surviving besides his wife and mother are: one son, Charles Grissom of Perryville; two daughters, Jessica Grissom of South Haven, MI and Salina Butler of Tamms, IL; one step son, Robert Lee Marshall of Sikeston; two step daughters, Tonya Kay Marshall of Dresden, TN and Flecia Vinson of Decatur, IL; three brothers, Michael Grissom, Wesley Grissom and Roland Grissom all of East Prairie; six sisters, Martha Aters, Ruth Christian and Penny Pearson all of East Prairie; Debra Self of Sikeston, Linda Dillow of Scott City and Rhonda Ling of New Madrid; 8 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
