Charles Lee McKinley, age 86, died Sunday, October 4, 2020, at his home in Bertrand.

Born September 29, 1934, at Bertrand, MO, to the late Walter Carmen McKinley and Sarah Christine Collier McKinley, he had lived in Bertrand his entire life.   For over 20 years he was the manager at MFA Oil.   He was member of the Bertrand United Methodist Church, the Sikeston Eagles Club, the Sikeston Elks Club and had served the City of Bertrand in numerous capacities, including as Mayor.

On May 1, 1954, he married Betty Jane Parr, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his children, Janie Lee (Kenneth) Dukes of Sikeston; Jeff (Sonya) McKinley and Sarah Ann Reeves all of Bertrand; his grandchildren, Ryan Blincoe, Scott Blincoe and Jordan McKinley and his great grandson, Garrett Blincoe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carmen McKinley.

Private services and burial will be held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
