CHARLES LEONARD 'BUDDY' PARR, Age 84, a resident of Bertrand, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Born December 18, 1931, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Raymond Arthur and Sue Ann Murphy Parr, he had lived in Bertrand most of his life and had been employed as a diesel engineer and a self-employed truck driver. He was of Methodist Belief.

On December 20, 1952, he married Betty Jo Skelton, who preceded him in death on November 10, 2002.

Surviving is one daughter, Gracia Parr of Bertrand; four sisters, Pauline Heckert, Pat Wise and Nancy Hurst all of Sikeston and Jane McKinley of Bertrand; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Parr, Jr., Kevin Parr and Mike Parr; two brothers, Willis Edward Parr and George Arthur Parr and two sisters, Ann Arthurine Dykes and Peggy Bearden.

Vistation will be from noon until 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home. Graveside services will then be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. Rev. Jim Eskew of Morley, will officiate.

Interment will follow with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honors Program.
