Charles Earl Peel, 83, died Saturday Jan. 31, 2015 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 3, 1931 in rural Hornersville, MO to the late Lester and Faye (Harrison) Peel. He was a graduate of Morley High School in 1950, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and had worked as a heavy equipment operator in Kansas City, MO. He was married to Grace Dawson Nov. 10, 1956 in Goffstown, New Hampshire and she preceded him in death April 30, 2013. He is survived by 2 brothers, John Glen Peel of Sikeston and Darrell Peel of Mt. Home, Arkansas and by one sister, Imogene Hatley of Ft. Worth, Texas. Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 12 noon until 1:00 pm. Graveside rites will be held at 2:00 pm at the MO State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. David Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Full military honors will follow.
