Charlotte Evans

Charlotte Myneal Evans, age 62, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her home in Sikeston, surrounded by her family and friends.

Charlotte was born in West Memphis, AR, to the late Hattie Mae Evans. Charlotte later moved to the Pinhook Community in rural Mississippi County, MO, in 1985. Charlotte lived there for 26 years until she moved to Sikeston, MO, after losing her home to the flood waters.

Charlotte attended Charleston High School. She loved to go riding with kids, going to the casino, hanging out with her sister, shopping at Walmart, sitting outdoors, reading the newspaper and going to see her grandson in St. Louis. Charlotte opened her home to many friends and family through the years.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her precious memories her three children, Cynthia D. Evans of Sikeston, Teresa A. Evans of East Prairie and Antonio L. Evans of Sikeston; her sister, Brenda F. Porter of East Prairie, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her special friend, Hattie Lee Garrison as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Mae Evans, her brother, Joseph Evans, her sister, Verna Gipson, one grandson, Santavion Evans and her wonderful nephew, Rocket Porter.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. Bridgette Williams will officiate the services.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

The repast will immediately follow at the Charleston Nutrition Center, 205 West Commercial Street, Charleston, MO 63834
