CHARLOTTE McCAIN McMIKLE, age 75, died Friday afternoon, March 5, 2010, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born November 8, 1934 in New Madrid to the late Abraham Lincoln McCain and Maggie Viola Upton McCain (Big Momma) Lewis of New Madrid. She had lived in New Madrid, East Prairie, Tallulah, LA, and then in Sikeston since 1970. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. A Real Estate Broker/Agent, she and her late husband, Willard "W.J.", co owned and operated McMikle Real Estate. She was a member, and former President, of the Sikeston Realtors Association, a lifelong member of the New Madrid OES Chapter 293, and had served as Grand Worthy Matron. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader and was a member of the Louisiana Cowbells'.

On August 31, 1953 she married Willard John "W.J." McMikle who preceded her in death on July 5, 2006.

Surviving are five children, Bonnie M. Hagler, Christy L. (Ron) Priday, and Lewis J. McMikle all of Sikeston, C. Willena (Greg) Dugas of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, W. Stanley ( Donna ) McMikle of Albany, GA; one sister, Bonnie Ruby Boyd of Memphis, TN; one brother, John Joseph Pershing Lewis of Alexandria, VA; seven grandchildren, Sarah E. Morgan, Jacob McMikle Priday, Hailey Priday Sullivan, Benjamin A. Priday, Joseph E. McMikle and Adam J. McMikle all of Sikeston, and Ryan McMikle Dugas of Baton Rouge, LA; and one great grandson, Avin Christopher Sullivan of Sikeston.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010; at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where Memorial Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Geoff Posegate, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Sikeston, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
