ROY LEE 'CHIP' TAYLOR, JR., age 58, a resident of Diehlstadt, died Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born November 18, 1961, at Sikeston, MO, to Roy Lee Taylor, Sr. and Reta Lou Stinson Taylor, he had lived in Diehlstadt most of his life.  A U.S. Navy Veteran, he had been employed with Aaron Sales and Leasing in Cape Girardeau a number of years and used his love of music as a D.J.

On May 28, 1999, he married Heather Renee Lentz, who survives of the home.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his children, Roy Lee (Ashlynn) Taylor, III and Joseph David (Brittney) Taylor all of East Prairie; Sara Paige Taylor of Charleston; Bailey (Cameron Broyles) Taylor of Chaffee and Jackson Lee Taylor of Puxico; his brother, Dewayne (Jennifer) Taylor of Charleston and his sister, Jessica (Todd) Field of Marceline, MO; also, four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2020, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Dave Selvig will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with military honors.
