Christopher Rhyan "Chris" Butrum, age 30, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, August 23, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Chris was born August 20, 1991, at St. Louis, MO, to Commodore Butrum and Peggy Ann Staggs Butrum. He was a welder by trade and a tattoo artist. Chris was very outgoing and was known as a jokester; he was famous for his one liners.

On November 2, 2019, he married the love of his life, Reality Michelle Patterson, who survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his father in law, Keith Wayne Patterson, his grandfather in law, Wayne Patterson, his step mom, Susie Butrum and his cousin, Matthew Butrum.

In addition to his parents, he survived by his three children who he loved so much, Cole Hunter Butrum of Sikeston, MO, Huxlee Wayne Butrum of Cape Girardeau, MO and True Reign Patterson of Cape Girardeau, MO; one sister, Alexis Butrum of Sikeston, MO; one brother, Corey Lee of Wickliffe, KY and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
