Chris Austin Garner, 50, died July 11, 2012 at his home in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 5, 1962 in Sikeston and had worked as a carpenter assistant and cab driver.
He is survived by one daughter, Alyssa Garner of the home; three sisters, Dee Hairston-Jones and Shelia Wheetley both of Claremore, Oklahoma and Judy Anderson of Whitehouse, Tennessee. Also surviving are several nieces,, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Garner and his parents, W.A. "Russ" and Beulah Garner.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 pm Saturday, Aug. 11 at Shady Acres Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
