Christopher Logan "Chris" Helms, 50, died suddenly & unexpectedly, Tuesday, Oct 20, 2015. He was born Oct 24, 1964 at Dexter to the late Delores (Glueck) Helms and Don Helms who survives of Dixon, TN. A resident of this area all of his life, he was the owner and operator of Total Lawn Care and was a member of Miner Baptist Church. On December 14, 1985 he married Pam Beardsley in Sikeston and she survives of the home. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Amos and Carissa Helms of Benton; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Mitch Hairston of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Emily Hairston, Jordan Hairston and Holly Hairston all of Sikeston; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Don & Linda Beardsley of Sikeston; 1 brother, Mike Helms of Sikeston and three sisters, Barbie Sadler of Sikeston, Sheila Friedberg of Scottsboro, TN, and Lisa Mitchem of Bell City. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel Friday from 3:00 pm until time for services at 6:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Adams, pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
