CHRISTOPHER Q. GROVES, Age 23, a resident of Charleston, died at 3:55 a.m., Saturday, March 06, 2010, on Highway 60/62 near Wyatt, Mo., from injuries sustained in car accident.

Born April 8, 1986, at Sikeston, MO, to A.J. Groves, Sr., who survives of Prairie Du Rocher, IL and Frances Momee Johnson Shulch, who survives of Wyatt, MO. He had lived in Charleston his entire life and was employed with Emmett Groves Auto Sales.

Surviving besides his father and mother are: one son, Jackson Levi Christian of East Prairie; one daughter, Mya Lorren Christian of East Prairie; his stepmother, Vicky Groves of Prairie Du Rocher, IL; two brothers, Anthony James Groves, Jr. of Sikeston, MO and Mace Groves of Prairie Du Rocher, IL; one sister, Tonya Brooks Groves of Wyatt; also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl Groves and Suetta and Doug Brown, his maternal grandparents, Norvel Napoleon Johnson and Ruby Lee Johnson and one aunt, Catherine Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Lee Welch, Cole Branam, Branston Branam, Steve Thurman, Isaac Barker, Ryan Hutcheson, Casey Holman and Joey Cissell.
