Charles Edgar "Chuck" Caldwell, age 70, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home near Charleston, MO.

Born June 6, 1954, in Ogle, Illinois, to the late Carl Duffene Caldwell and Esther Elizabeth Grace Caldwell, he had lived in Mississippi County the past several years.  For 22 years he was employed with Essex Wire in Sikeston, MO as a factory worker.  A member of the First Baptist Church of East Prairie, Chuck loved to dance and spend all the time he could outdoors camping and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Josh (Sandy) Everest of Georgia, Chris Caldwell of Washington and Jennifer (Jon) Parker of East Prairie, MO; his granddaughters Cali Everest, Burkleigh Caldwell, Bella Caldwell and Emma Parker; grandsons, Clayton Parker and Jacob Parker; brother, Jimmy (Jackie) Caldwell of Rochelle, Illinois; sisters, Dorothy Caldwell of Homestead, Florida and Flora Young of Pinckneyville, Illinois.  Also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chuck is also survived by his special friend of 15 years, Peggy Lombard, of the home near Charleston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Caldwell and Michael Caldwell and his sister, Shirley Caldwell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
