Cynthia Ellen "Cindy" Ables, 64, a life-long resident of Sikeston, died Friday Dec. 27, 2019 at her home in Sikeston. She was born Sept.. 3, 1955 in Sikeston to the late Clennis Elwood and Bobby Dean (Woolford) Ables. Cindy was a 1973 graduate of Sikeston High School and then worked for Canedy Sign Company. She later attended and then graduated from Metro Business College in 1990 after which she was employed at St. Francis Medical Center and Ferguson Medical Group. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and her hobbies were drawing, painting and crafts and she loved her dogs, family and friends.
She is survived by 1 brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Delores Ables of Sikeston; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Andrea and Randall Lim of Santa Ana, California and Leslie and Jon Jackson of Southhaven, Mississippi. Also surviving are 2 nieces and 3 nephews and a very special friend, Cathy Blankinship.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Lim, Jon Jackson, Zachary Tow, Robert Russell, Daniel Russell and Pat Shaw.
