Clarence G. "Butch" Penn, age 70 of Chesterton, IN passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at Porter Memorial Hospital - Valparaiso Campus.

He was born February 10, 1940 in Chicago, IL to the late Charles R. and Alma Stultz Penn. Butch was a past member of the Midwestern Saddle and Bridal Association.

He is survived by his wife, Emily "Tootie" (Fornshell) Penn of Chesterton, three daughters: Shelley (Randall) Beare of Chesterton, Marcey (Nicholas) Underwood of Knox, IN and Brandi Penn of Chesterton. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Evan Steiner, Holli Penn, Emily Underwood, Corbin Beare, Lily Underwood and Maize Underwood,
one brother Reverend Gerald (Jane) Penn of Charleston, MO
and life-long friend and brother-in-law, Carl "Pork" Charlson of Chesterton.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Leslie Steiner, and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Penn and sister Flora Elam.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the White-Love Funeral Home,
in Chesterton, IN where Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

There will be a private family burial Wednesday at Chesterton Cemetery.
