Clyde Francis Nickell, 88, formerly of Sikeston, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.  He was born January 3, 1926 in Sikeston to the late Jim and Emma (Martin) Nickell.  A member of Murray Lane Baptist Church, he had been employed at International Shoe and later by Sikeston Pubic Schools.  He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Connie & John Fodge of Sikeston; one brother, James H. Nickell of Sikeston; and 2 grandsons, Jeremy Robinett of Champaign, IL and Justin Robinett of San Diego, CA.  He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.  Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 12 noon till 1:00 pm Friday, April 11.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at the MO State Veterans Interment Chapel in Bloomfield with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church officiating.  Pallbearers will be Harold Williams, Jackie Ray Watkins, Bill Nance, Jack Miller and Roger Tesney.  Full military honors and burial will follow.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at blanchardfuneral.com
