Clyde Eugene Woodworth Jr, age 71, of Charleston, died Saturday, February 25, 2023, at University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born January 19, 1952, at Cairo, Illinois, to the late Clyde Wilbert Woodworth and Mary Nell Dillard Woodworth, he had lived in Mississippi County all of his life and was a farmer.
He married Phyllis Bailey and they resided in Anniston. Clyde had a passion for fishing and loved to barbeque for his friends and family.
Survivors include his sons, Eric (Tasha) Woodworth of East Prairie and Michael Woodworth of Cape Girardeau, his sisters Betty Linhart and Nellie Woodworth both of Granite City, Illinois and Annie (David) Black of Charleston; five grandchildren; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis Bailey Woodworth, a son Eugene Woodworth and two granddaughters Angelica Koch Bailey and Michelle Woodworth.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time for the memorial services at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Eddie Linhart Jr, Pastor of Hope Community Church in Carlineville, Illinois will officiate.
