Connie Louise Dock Smith, 66, a resident of the Morehouse area most of her life, died Thursday, Sept. 14 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Aug. 8, 1951 in Sikeston to the late Murell and Stella (Beavers) Gosnell. She was of the Baptist faith, and had been a beautician at several Beauty Shops in the area and had also worked at Randy's Pharmacy; she was also an avid bingo player. On Feb. 6, 1970 she was married to Jerry Dock in Morehouse and he preceded her in death July 6, 1998. She later married Oscar Allen "Bud" Smith on March 15, 2005 in Morehouse and he survives of the home. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Stacy Dock and Amanda Andrews of New Madrid and Wendy and Steve Hamill of Morehouse; 2 step daughters, Pam & Trish Dock of Independence, MO; 1 brother, Robert Gosnell of Dexter and 2 sisters, Judy Greene of Morehouse and Susan Chadd of Sikeston. 4 grandchildren, Sonny Dock, Celeste Hailey, Chloe Dozier and Fritz Hamill; 10 step-grandchildren several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her first husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by 1 step-son, Michael Dock, 1 brother, Ronald Gosnell, Sr. and 1 sister, Linda Harmon.
