DAISY ROBERTSON REEVES, 97, of Charleston, died Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born August 14, 1922, at Perks, Illinois, to the late Earl Henry Robertson and Mary Beasley Robertson, she was the valedictorian of her graduating class, having received the Herff-Jones Scholastic Award. A resident of Mississippi County, Missouri, most of her life, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, had decorated the church sanctuary for 25 years, and was instrumental in bringing the well known Samaritan's Purse Christmas Child program her church family. Active in numerous community organizations, she was a member of the Katherine Boone Music Club, a board member of the Mississippi County Historical Society and had served as a Girl Scout Leader. She was an award-winning artist in oil painting and was an accomplished pianist and organist. She was most known for her beautiful yard that she loved gardening in.

On July 18, 1950, she married Joseph M. "Tud" Reeves, who preceded her in death in July, 2006.

Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Florence and John Canepari of Charleston, MO; and her grandson, Clayton Joseph Canepari of New Orleans, LA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lindell Robertson, Randal Robertson and Donald Robertson and by three sisters, Hattie Mae Isom, Dorothy Ruth Waldron and Sue Gentry.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., December 26, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston. Rev. Gerald Collier, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Mike McIlroy, Ben Whitehead, Emmett Burke, Jim Burke, Ray Presson and Roy Presson.
