DANIEL LEE JOHNSON-

WYATT—Daniel Lee Johnson, 60, of Wyatt, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at his home.

Daniel was born August 2, 1951, in Matthews, to Don Johnson and Kay Francis Seymour Johnson, who survive of Morley. He was described as a prankster in his school years at Scott County Central, from which he graduated in 1970. He was then drafted into the US Army where he served honorably in Vietnam and Germany. Dan met his wife in Memphis, TN and they were married on August 22, 1982. The couple later moved back to Wyatt, and he received an Associates Degree in Computer Science at Metro Business College. Daniel was a member of Cornerstone Church in Bertrand. Dan wore many interesting hats during his lifetime, in his occupational choices, hobbies, family, and friends, which molded him into the outstanding man that he was.

His wife, Sandra Oakley Johnson, survives of the home in Wyatt.

Also surviving besides his wife and parents are: 4 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Eric Scott Edwards, of Arnold, Justin Brock and Bridgette Renee Kidd, of Warrensburg, Shea de'Vodrey Johnson, of Wyatt, and Brody Oakley Johnson, of Wyatt; two daughters one daughter in law and one son in law, Danika Lee Kidd and Amy Rae Hubbartt, of Kansas City, and Megan Colleen and James Edmond Williams, of Wyatt; 1 brother, David (Chip) Johnson, of Morley; three sisters, Leah Beth Somers, of Harviell, Donna Kay Watkins, of Sikeston, and Leslie Jo Rounsaville, of Dexter; and 9 grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ricky Johnson and Jimmy Johnson.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. David Cullen will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston with full military honors provided by the United States Army and the Missouri Military Honors Program.
