Danny Hopper

Daniel Eugene "Danny" Hopper, age 66, of Charleston, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born December 5, 1955, at Charleston, MO, to the late Robert Kelly Hopper and Margaret Pullen Hopper.  Danny had lived in Charleston most of his life.   After high school, Danny joined the United States Marines and served and then transferred to the Missouri National Guard and served until his retirement.   Danny was employed a number of years with Gates Rubber Company in Charleston until its closing and later became employed as custodian at the United Methodist Church in Charleston and remained there until he retired.

On May 13, 1980, he married Donna McKenzie who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his son, Tim Hopper of Charleston; his brothers and sisters, Eddie (Glenda) Murphy of Charleston, Robert Page Hopper of Sikeston and Sandra (Mike) Pruden of Diehlstadt; also, several nieces and nephews and three special little ones that called him "Paw", Kevin A. Green, Emma L. Green and Noah Matthew Green.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with full military honors.
