Danny Allen Presson, age 85, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at his home in Charleston, MO.

Born July 27, 1939, in Dunklin County, MO, to the late William Clarence Presson and Flora Irene Smith Presson, he had lived in Charleston most of his life and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.  For a number of years, he was employed with Burkhart Foam Company in Cairo, IL and later was a fixture at Richard's Service Station in Charleston where he worked many years before his retirement.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

On June 21, 1979, he married Stella Catherine McLaughlin, affectionately known as "Kitty" and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2019.

Surviving are his children, Randy Presson, Kevin Presson, Todd Presson, and Tobie Presson as well Kitty's children who were as his own, Kenny (Brenda) Schmidt, Lynda (Bruce) Fields, Vicki (Vic) Mahan and Dawn (Shawn) Lang; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Presson, Howard Presson and his sisters, Betty Jean Haley, Mabel Graben, Helen Martin and Dorothy Stewart.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Graveside services with full military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
