Darren Keith Cann, 56, Prosecuting Attorney of Mississippi County, MO and a resident of rural Charleston, died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Surviving is his son, Zachary Cann;  his brother, James Gerald "Jimmy" Cann, Jr., brother-in-law, David "Randy" Casey, nephews, Dustin Cann, Randy (Ashley) Casey; niece, Sarah Casey (Jason) French; great nieces, Hannah Casey, Paige Casey, Brooke Taber and Phoebe French; great nephew, Gradyn French; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins and his best friend, Skyler Archie.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Casey.

Darren was a private person. In keeping with his wishes, graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston where he will be laid to rest next to his mother and father. Martin Lucas officiated.
