David Roosevelt Jackson, Jr., 61, a resident of Sikeston, died at his home Monday, Feb. 23, 2015. He was born June 12, 1953 at Bell City to David Roosevelt "Bill" Jackson, Sr. who survives of Haywood City and the late Annie Mae (Wylie) Jackson. A resident of this area most of his life, he was a member of Church on the Rock and had been a truck driver and shuttle bus driver. On Aug. 27, 2008 he was married to Carol McKinney at Essex and she survives of the home. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by 2 sons, 4 daughters, 3 step-sons and 1 step-daughter. Also surviving are 1 brother and 1 sister and several grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Sunday, March 1, at Church on the Rock with Pastor Curtis True officiating.
