DEBRA LYNN HARPER STEWART, age 66, of Sikeston, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 30, 1955, at Cairo, IL, to the late Leland Fletcher Harper and Hester Willadean Templeton Harper.  She was a 1973 graduate of Charleston High School.  She had lived in Sikeston a number of years and had been employed with the Ferguson Medical Group for over 34 years.  Debra was full of love and life.  A lover of sports, she was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Tennessee Titans and her beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.  She loved to ride motorcycles in years past and loved the outdoors as well, especially fishing.  Her one and only time to deer hunt, she went with her brother Billy and got her deer on that hunt.  She loved telling that story.  A highlight of her life was shopping with "her girls."  Family was important.

Surviving is her daughter and son in law, Jenny Katherine (Brooks) Heuring of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Jaydon, Kara, Abby, Gracie, Bella and Caleb; her brother and sisters, Bill Harper, Linda Bagwell, Patricia Branum, Mary Calhoun and Barbara Jean Yancy; a special sister in law, Sheila Harper; her goddaughters, Jancie Harper Hall and Whitney Harper; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Paige Stewart and her brothers and sisters, James Ray Harper, Leland Edward Harper, Bobby Harper, Ricky Harper and Eva Corbell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Cremation will follow.
