Delmar O. Smothers Jr.

Delmar Orla Smothers, Jr., age 57, passed from this life, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home in Charleston, MO, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 24, 1968, at Granite City, Illinois to the late Delmar Orla Smothers Sr., and Alma Jean Kearby Smothers.  His family moved to East Prairie when he was 3 years old and he would go on to graduate with the 1986 class of East Prairie High School.  He then attended Technical School.

On April 18, 1996, he married Lisa Diane Simmons who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his son, Jacob Matthew Smothers; his brothers, Jim Smothers and his wife Terri, of Granite City, IL; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family burial will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston, MO.
