DENNIS RAY HUMPHREY, 66, formerly of Charleston, died Friday, March 20, 2020, at his home in Montgomery City.

Born October 20, 1953, at Wyatt, MO, to Verla Mae Carter Humphrey who survives of East Prairie and the late Edward Lee Humphrey, he had lived in the St. Louis area a number of years and was employed with the Laborers Union Local #53.

Surviving besides his mother are his life companion, Darrlene Calloway; his children, Dennis Page (Ashleigh) Humphrey of Troy; Julie Marie Humphrey of Vandalia and Dustin Ryan Humphrey of Sikeston; his brothers and sisters, Terry (Judy) Humphrey and Jeff (Vickie) Humphrey both of Charleston; Jackie (Daniel) Meeks of East Prairie and Carla (Wilson) Adams of East Prairie; his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Craven, Piper and Jackson; also a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Jared Jackson, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Page Humphrey, Craven Humphrey, Terry Humphrey, Jr., Eric Humphrey, Nathan Humphrey and James Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Eric Humphrey, Jr., Tyler Humphrey, Leo Hale, Emory McKinney and Austin Humphrey.
