Dixie Ellen Wilson, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Dec. 21, 1935 in Sikeston to the late Rev. Jimmy and Mae Ellen (Goodman) Edmondson. She was married May 27, 1956 to James A. "Jim" Wilson at Blodgett and he preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1993. A life-long resident of this area, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Jeanene Wilson of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin & Chris Oberle of Cape Girardeau; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie & Ada Mae Edmondson of Sikeston; 4 grandchildren, Erica Wilson of Sikeston, Brad & Megan Wilson of St. Peters, Rodney & Melissa Seiler of Diehlstadt and Rosanna & Jason Woods of Scott City. Seven great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother Billy Joe Edmondson. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 23 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral services will also be in the chapel at 10:30 am Saturday with her grandson, Rev. Brad Wilson, associate pastor of Harvester Baptist Church in St. Charles officiating and burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
