Doloris Jean Taylor Lingle, 91, formerly of Dogwood, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her home in Sandy Springs, GA. She was known by her family and friends for her tender heart and unwavering faith.

Born July 22, 1931 in New Madrid, MO, she was the daughter of the late Francis Newton Taylor and Essie Laura Barker Taylor. She married Ralph Thomas Lingle, Sr on January 20, 1948. They made their family home in Dogwood where they raised four children: Ralph Thomas Lingle, Jr (Tom), Otis Chambles Lingle (Odie), Elvira Lingle Ptacek and Stephen Lynn Lingle (Steve).

Doloris and Ralph spent their lives farming their land and enjoyed fishing on Kentucky Lake. They traveled across the country and world to see family and friends. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and when reading her Bible.

Doloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, two sons Tom and Steve: her brothers Hampton H Taylor, Chambles Keith Taylor, Jimmie L Taylor and sisters Veatrice Pauline Shepard, Lorene Shepard and Emma Lou Poppe.

She is survived by her son Odie (Faye) Lingle of Murray KY, daughter Elvira (Jim) Ptacek of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter Amy (Brian) Waymire and great grandson Sam Waymire of Nashville, TN, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation at McMikle Funeral Home, Charleston, MO begins on Wednesday November 30, 2022 at 10 am with the funeral service at 11 am, followed by a graveside service at Dogwood Church Cemetery.

Following the graveside committal services, reception will be hosted at the First Christian Church in East Prairie, MO.
