Don R. Hutcheson, age 93 years, a resident of East Prairie, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home.

Born March 7, 1931, in the Hoecake Community of Mississippi County, Missouri, son of the late John Raymond and Janie Lee Arington Hutcheson, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Yolanda Hutcheson of East Prairie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug Hutcheson, Susie Hutcheson, Carlin and Patsy Hutcheson all of East Prairie; one sister, Cora Sue Stallings of Charleston; four grandchildren, Donald and Marsha Hutcheson, Melissa and Steve Hutcheson-Seeber, Lee and Jammie Hutcheson and Jarrod Lee and Laurie Hutcheson; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son Perry, three brothers, Ward Hutcheson, Avery Hutcheson and Harvey Hutcheson.

Family and friends may gather for a graveside service at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2024, at the Dogwood Cemetery.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
