Donald Aubrey Cantrell, 86, a resident of this area most of his life, died Saturday, Feb. 13 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born May 29, 1929 at Sandywoods to the late William Jennings Bryant Cantrell and Audrey (Lawson) Cantrell. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ and was a retired machine operator at Fram Air Filters in Dexter. He was married to Ruby Imogene Thurman Dec. 19, 1954 in Sikeston and she preceded him in death Sept. 30, 2010. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Cindy Cantrell of Sikeston, 2 grandchildren, Alana Cantrell of Poplar Bluff and Ashton Cantrell of Sikeston, 1 brother, Noel Cantrell of Sikeston and 2 sisters, Norma Taylor of Sikeston and Mary Ward of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Cantrell & Eugene Cantrell. Visitation will be at Shady Acres Church of Christ at 1440 Ables Road, Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 11 am until time for services at 1:00 pm. Patrick Hogan, minister at Shady Acres Church of Christ will officiate and burial will follow at Blodgett Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
