Donald Monroe Latham, age 88, of Sikeston, MO, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Delta South Skilled Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Psalms 116:15  "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."

Don was called to be in His sight and presence on September 10, 2025. These words of comfort are meant for his beloved wife, Alice, his son, Kendall (Piper) his daughter, Kristi (Chad) his twin brother, John (Velva)his sisters, Shirley and Ann, his sister-in-law, Karin, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Don's deceased family members include Bill (Helen, Helen) of Belleview, MO, David (Roberta) of Kingman, Ariz, Charles of Bismarck, MO,  sister -in-law, Barbara, and brother-in-law, Ben.

Donald M. Latham, along with a twin brother, John,was born on February 6, 1937 to Edward Franklin Latham (deceased) and Edna Opal Huffstutler Latham (deceased) in Rosebud, MO.

There are no words to express the sorrow that is felt over Don's home-going. His leaving us is so final.  In 2nd Samuel 12:16 - 23 we find David grieving the death of his baby son.  After his son didn't live, David arose from fasting and praying and said, "I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." Let us covenant together, "Since Don cannot return to us, we shall go to him!"

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Stoddard County Children's Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Vistiation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m, Monday, September 15, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
