Donna Laverne Miller, 79, died at 5:00 am Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct 11, 1932 at White Oak, MO to the late Eugene Daniel and Lois Marie (Waller) Hankins.
A resident of Sikeston since 1975 she had previously worked as a swhtchboard operator for Norfolk & Western Railroad and was a member of the Ladies auxiliary of the American Legion.
On Dec. 5, 1991 she was married to Rodger Miller at Poplar Bluff and he survives of the home. Also surviving are 4 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Barry Jackson of the home, Terry Jackson of St. Louis, James "Randy" & Mitzi Jackson of St. Louis, and Patrick & Monique Miller of Houston, TX.;
1 brother, Dennis Hankins of Poplar Bluff, MO and 4 sisters: Peggy Dee of Sikeston, Clara Brannum of St. Peters, Debbie Wilson of Sikeston and Mary Baker of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and by one special niece, Lauren Wilson and 1 special great-niece, Tessa Grace Wilson, both of Sikeston.
Two brothers, Daniel "Sonny" Hankins and David Hankins preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 10 am Monday until time of service at 12 Noon at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mary McCord, pastor of the First Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbeareers will be Josh Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Cody Jackson, Whitney Wilson, Denny Miller and Jason Miller.
