DORIS ANN COLEMAN, age 83, of rural Bertrand, MO, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, while visiting her family in Houston, TX.

Born August 14, 1939, in Anniston, MO, to the late Ira Alexander Knupp and Pearl Jane Pullum Knupp, she grew up in Anniston and then moved to the Houston, TX area where she and her family lived a number of years.  In 2002, she and her husband returned to Mississippi County where they made their home in rural Bertrand.

On September 13, 1957, she married Jackie Eugene Coleman, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2021.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Angela R. Copeland, Joseph Benjamin Ryan Horkman, Madison Danielle Coleman and Brianna Diaz Horn; one great grandson, Huntson, Danny Horn; one brother, James "Troubles" Knupp; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Diane Coleman and her son, Danny Eugene Coleman, as well as her brothers and sisters, John Knupp, Betty Hendon, Marvin Knupp, Jerry Knupp and Mary Myer.

Visitation for friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Her niece, Sheila Groves, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
