Obituary

DORIS EVELYN HAYDEN ROSE, Age 73, a resident of Charleston, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the home of her daughter in East Prairie.

Born on March 31, 1937, at Benton, MO to the late Lloyd and Thelma White Hayden, she had lived in Charleston most of her life and was a member of the First Christian Church in East Prairie.

On May 28, 1955 she married Billy Charles Rose Sr., who preceded her in death on January 18, 2010.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law: Billy Jr and Tammy Rose of East Prairie, MO. Three daughters and one son in law: Penny Coffer of East Prairie, Karen and Eddie Hedge of Springville TN and Vickie Rose of East Prairie; three sisters and brothers in law, Ann and Shelby Ellis of East Prairie, Beverly and Dale Harris of Charleston and Sheila and Bruce Kersey of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Three brothers and sisters in law, Lowell and Carol Hayden of Charleston, Delbert "Bear" and Nadine Hayden of Connecticut and John and Karen Hayden of Valinda California; Her Grandchildren: Heather and Bryan Harrington; Steven Kuykendall and Renee Thresher; Megan and David Aters; Courtney and Caleb Hatton; Austin Rose and Hillary Day of East Prairie; Eddie Hedge Jr of Cape Girardeau, Amy Hedge of Sikeston, Blake Hedge of Kentucky. Nine Great Grandchildren Dakota and Brooklyn Harrington, Kyler and Dawson Aters, Billy Kuykendall, Gaven Wallace, Kallie Revelle, Tre Hedge, James Johnson. Also several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd "JR" Hayden and Charles Hayden and one sister Sue Vinson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, Monday, January 31, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Martin Lucas of East Prairie and Jon Archie, pastor of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston

Pallbearers will be Steve Ellis, Brad Hayden, Doug Hayden, Chris Vinson, Micah Harris and Stephen Groves.
