Doris Louise Wylie, 86, a longtime resident of Sikeston, died at her home Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. She was born January 16, 1929 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Frank and Agnes Gaines Kesler. Mrs. Wylie was an active member of Shady Acres Church of Christ; she also loved her family, friends and quilting. She was united in marriage to Edsel Wylie on Dec. 11, 1948 in New Madrid and he survives of the home. Also surviving are 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Karen (Ken) Tillman, Sharon (Paul) Collom and Terry (Allen) Figley all of Searcy, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Donnie Kesler of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Gary Kesler of Oran. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive as well as three caretakers, who have become like family, Derenda Russell, Angie Dees and Kathy Brown. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Sonny Kesler and Leon Kesler and by 2 sisters, Inez Uhls Feihler and Mary Leona Bohannon. Visitation will be at Shady Acres Church of Christ from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday, Aug. 12. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, Aug. 13 at Shady Acres Church of Christ with the minister, Pat Hogan, officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Pallbeareres will be her grandchildren, Addie Collom Kennon, Ben Kennon, Ben Collom, Jared Tillman, Amanda Figley Henard, Allison Tillman and Clay Figley.
